Wow, if you haven’t tried the CrossFit Filthy 50 WOD (Workout of the Day), get on it! It is not only cardio intensive, you will feel this workout burning, umm, EVERYwhere. Check out the CrossFit site for more info on it if you’d like. Here’s the WOD as RX’d. If this is above your fitness level, try scaling it back to something more like a Tantalizing 25, Dirty 30, or Filthy 40.
For time:
50 Box jumps
50 Jumping pull-ups
50 Kettlebell swings
Walking Lunge, 50 steps
50 Knees to elbows
50 Push press
50 Back extensions
50 Wall ball shots
50 Burpees
50 Double unders
One key I’ve learned for finishing this WOD, and finishing strong, is proper nutrition. There are some CrossFit WODs that it helps to prepare for almost like you would a race or big competition. This is one of them. Make sure you eat balanced meals going into this the day before and day of (protein, low GI carbs, and fat) and drink the water you need beforehand to help you stay strong during this workout.
Enjoy!
Steph
